MARK YOUR CALENDAR
February 14 Valentine’s Dinner and Full Moon Snowshoe in Vail Valley
Fuel up for your two-hour hike through Cordillera on the Camino Del Norte Trail with a three-course dinner at the resort’s Mirador restaurant ($70). Or, skip the supper and go for a snowshoe ($20) to save your pennies for a night in one of Cordillera Lodge and Spa’s luxe rooms.
February 14 Love on the Lifts
Keystone's speed-dating event returns with a series of 11-minute speed dates aboard the River Run Gondola. You'll be partnered up at the base of the gondola, and by the time you reach the top of Dercum Mountain, you can decide to spend the day together, or, well, not. Matchmaking begins at 10 a.m.
February 14–16 Copper Uncorked and In Love
It doesn’t matter if you're single or hitched at Copper’s celebration of love, which includes food deals, fireworks, moonlight snow shoes, and the Wine-and-Wings Challenge, a culinary smackdown between Copper chefs.
February 20–23 High Plains Snow Goose Festival
See more than 70 species of birds take to the sky over southeastern Colorado at this 12th annual bird-watching festival.
Thru March 14 Bring a Friend February
Share your love of the mountains (and skiing and snowboarding), and win loot at Colorado’s “Bring a Friend in February” contest. All you’ve got to do is bring a newbie to the slopes and get them signed up for a lesson. Send in the receipt, and you’ll be entered to win sweet gear like Burton snowboards, Ramp skis, and even a ski trip.
Tabernash’s Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort and Spa added 35 more rooms to its offerings in December with the debut of the 50,000-square-foot High Lonesome Lodge . The new lodge overlooks the Ranch and features “The Barn”—a Civil-war ear building brought over piece by piece from Ohio and transformed into an events center complete with a wall of windows that offers stunning views of the Divide.
