Take a journey back to the 19th century for this unique holiday celebration. Keep your hands warm with hot cider or Mexican hot chocolate as sixth generation Coloradan and ESL teacher Esther Mary Anaya de Luben lights the farolitos (festive lanterns made from paper bags) to the sound of carols from the 1830s and ’40s. Then send a message to your loved ones who have passed on by writing a note, tucking it inside a pinecone, and burning it so the words can travel to the heavens. Sun 4:30-6 p.m.
