The emergence of food-based, organic, and local ingredients in spa treatments

With ingredients such as paprika, pinon, spearmint, marjoram, kiwi, and other organic fruits, herbs, and veggies, spa service descriptions are starting to resemble restaurant menus. "There has been an enhanced interest in local and indigenous spa experiences," says Lynne Walker McNees, president of the International Spa Association. Spas are utilizing their geographic location and indigenous traditions to provide more distinctive and compelling experiences for their guests."
