Cosmopolitan or cowtown? City slickers or slobs? An inside look at the inner workings of Denver fashion.
Denver fashion is a great big easy target. After all, even at the town's swankiest restaurants and toniest theaters, ou're likely to see people wearing just about everything. And usually, what you notice first and remember tehlongest are the kinds of things that make a fashion lover cringe. Boots and hats. Birkenstocks. T-shirts. Bie shorts. Grunge.
But Cathy covell, co-owner of Lawrence Covell clothing store, is quick to point out that you see that kind of thing every where - she's seen people in New York going to Broadway plays in cutoffs. As much as we'd like to think otherwise, fashion isn't a universal concern, in Denver or anywhere else. But the Mile-High City does demonstrate a strong interest in fashion.
