Chris Gates, the former Chair of Colorado's Democratic Party, has decided against appealing [2] last week's election loss to the Democratic National Committee. If state party officials deny him relief, he will accept their decision. This is a departure from his position earlier in the week when he complained that the new regime had changed the locks on DNC headquarters and were behaving mean-spiritedly. [3] Then he said, "This thing is definitely not over." Today, Gates had changed his tune:

"Who knows? Maybe she won by more than the disputed number, and we have no need for a challenge," Gates said Tuesday.
