It's been a rough couple of weeks for Bob Beauprez, with state and federal investigations looking into how his campaign received information from a protected federal database. But the Republican candidate for governor in Colorado is now getting a helping hand from a guy who's got a ton of political star power right now, America's mayor, Rudy Giuliani. There are few politicians I dislike more than Rudy Giuliani. I'll spare you the reasons (although you can read them [4] on TalkLeft.) As the New York Daily News opined [5] after the Bernie Kerik fiasco when President Bush nominated Bernie Kerik for Homeland Security Chief, substantially upon the recommendation of Giuliani, [6]
Bush now moves on, burned and wiser about the value of the Rudy Giuliani stamp of approval. If Beauprez weren't in dire straits, wouldn't he have done the same?
