The event also includes a silent auction with dog-centric items up for bids, such as hand painted doggie portraits, doggie day care and grooming services, and people-pleasers such as restaurant and boutique gift certificates. The $14 tickets include one cocktail and free appetizers; proceeds benefit the Maxfund, a local no-kill animal shelter.
