Lindsey R. McKissick oversees 5280’s research department and editorial internship program, contributes to the Front Range and Scene sections of the magazine, and blogs for 5280.com. She holds a bachelor’s in journalism and a master’s in communication from the University of Wyoming, where she founded the university’s outdoor recreation magazine, REACH. McKissick joined 5280 in 2011 after working as a freelance sports writer for the Denver Post, Colorado Springs Gazette, Casper Star-Tribune, Kansas  City Star, Oakland Tribune, and Associated Press. A Denver native raised in suburban Chicago, McKissick now lives in Denver with her husband, Lyle.
