Gifted children are intense, sensitive, and have the ability to see connections in seemingly unrelated areas. Featuring thematically integrated curriculum, the Ricks Center program allows each child to use of all of his or her abilities, including cognition, emotion, and perception, while learning. As students grow and develop, pace, volume, and complexity are differentiated for our community of learners. Independence is encouraged and students are provided with sophisticated learning experiences throughout the curriculum. As nationally recognized leaders in the field of gifted education, our faculty has a profound understanding of the cognitive and the social emotional needs of gifted students. An integral part of the University of Denver, Ricks Center students are surrounded by learners of all ages. Immersed in a community dedicated to the pursuit of life-long learning, students receive early childhood through middle school education in a rich and unique environment.
