
What could be better than a night in the park with Phish? Check in for three nights of grooving with one of America’s most beloved psychedelic jam bands. Campsites are available for diehards really looking to relax over Labor Day weekend, or if you’re not trying to go Bonnaroo-style, just grab tickets for an evening. Fri-Sun 7:30 p.m.
Kick off a night of beer and wine tasting with the players and coaches of the Colorado Rapids. The event includes beer and wine sampling, food, casino games, mini-golf, a photo station, and a cigar stand. Last year the event raised more than $23,000 for education, nutrition, and recreational programs for children and families in Colorado. Thu 6 p.m.
For the 17th year, the place to celebrate our nation's independence is at a Colorado Rapids home game. The evening will begin with a community festival featuring climbing walls, zip lines, face painting, mechanical bull riding, live music from That Eighties Band, a live performance from the Salida Circus, and of course, tailgating.
Take one look at their home opening day record, and you'll see the expectations. The Rapids are 4-0-1 record on home openers and looking to kick the season off right with a match against the Columbus Crew. After winning an MLS cup in 2010 and making it to the playoffs in 2011, the Rapids look to bring MLS glory back to Denver. Sat 4 p.m.
