Be active for a good cause. Kids will swim laps in the rec center and then head to Winter Park's trails for the biking and running portions. Distances vary by age. All proceeds will be donated to the Fraser Valley Recreation foundation for youth scholarships. Sun 8:30 a.m.-noon.
Take your own little buzzing bees to this educational event to learn about pollinators' relationship with vegetables, flowers, and people. Children will learn about pollination from a bee’s perspective and taste some of the veggies that the bees help pollinate. They can also peek inside a live beehive during a presentation from on-site beekeepers. Sat 10 a.m.-noon.
Gear up for a cool car day presented by the Highlands Ranch Community Association. Kids can hop in fire engines, police cars, construction trucks, military vehicles, and more to learn what makes them go.
