This Fort Collins journalist and author of three nonfiction works, including Blood Diamonds—the inspiration behind the Hollywood blockbuster Blood Diamond—is at work on his fourth book, editing his manuscript while, incredibly, reporting from war zones in the Middle East. This new book hits on a topic closer to home: the medical marijuana industry. Campbell—though he’d still prefer a beer to a joint any day—turned marijuana enthusiast after the loosening of statewide MMJ sale regulations in 2009, and has begun to grow the soporific greens in his basement.
