When the Kitchen Denver opened a few months ago, we beelined over to check out the substantially larger 200-seat outpost of the Boulder favorite. Immediately, the Kitchen wowed us—and has continued to do so—with its steak frites. The key is in the quality of the meat, which comes from a variety of producers; the simplicity of the preparation; and that divine maître d’hôtel (seasoned) butter, which makes an already decadent treat that much more delicious. 1530 16th St., 303-623-3127, thekitchencommunity.com
