Ordering can be tricky if you’ve got a dueling sweet tooth: Rich and decadent or light and fruity? It was a constant dilemma until we spied Twelve’s caramelized pineapple tiramisù. The idea of combining those rich Italian flavors with a juicy dose of the tropics was…interesting. But after the first spoonful, we knew we weren’t sharing. The airy cake was addictive with a delicate, boozy consistency; the mascarpone was neither too heavy nor too sweet; and the pineapple topping added just the right amount of tart, sugary lift.
