Ice Cream/Gelato
We don’t typically go to a restaurant for ice cream, but Bittersweet’s inventive creations changed our tune. Sample chef Olav Peterson’s seasonal cuisine, but save plenty of room for dessert. The menu changes regularly, and while the cakes and mousses are decadent, it’s their accompaniments—ice cream in flavors as appealing and seasonal as bourbon, pumpkin, and lavender—that have us swooning. Order a scoop (or two) on its own; the passion fruit sorbet (flavors change frequently) was so fresh we were swept away with thoughts of sandy beaches and tiki drinks. 500 E.
