Theater Company
For a truly worthwhile show, the Physically Handicapped Actors and Musical Artists League (PHAMALY) is a must-see company. The regionally touring nonprofit, which has been performing since the late ’80s, casts actors who are physically and/or developmentally challenged. The performers acquire and expand upon important skills, and the staff learns to adapt performances to integrate certain challenges. The company develops and incorporates assistive technology to improve both performer and audience experiences, and with recent productions such as How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and The Elephant Man, PHAMALY has proven its unwavering dedication to presenting “traditional theater in nontraditional ways.” Up this month: Little Shop of Horrors. Venues vary according to season, but home base is the Aurora Fox. 9900 E. Colfax Ave., Aurora, 303-575-0005, phamaly.org
