Noah Eli Gordon

The Front Range has a surprisingly vibrant poetry scene, thanks in part to talent like Noah Eli Gordon. Author of seven collections of verse, the assistant professor of English at the University of Colorado Boulder has received numerous awards for his work, not the least of which was the inclusion of Novel Pictorial Noise (Harper Perennial, 2007) in John Ashbery’s prestigious National Poetry Series. His most recent volume, The Source (Futurepoem books, 2011), is part prose, part epic poem, and part musing on the origin of inspiration. Even if you’re not a regular reader of poetry, Gordon’s work is worth picking up for a little shift in perspective.
