It takes guts to open a bakery that specializes in Baumkuchen, a German-Japanese cake foreign to the general public. But that's what makes Glaze so extraordinary: It's the only bakery of its kind outside of Asia. Pop in to ogle the glass-encased Japanese oven (nicknamed the Red Dragon), which bakes the delicate cakes on a rotating spit. When cut into slices, the layers resemble tree rings. Oh, and they're as sinfully delicious as they are gorgeous.
