It takes a lot to lure Coloradans inside. This past year, however, we found ourselves under a roof time and again at the Denver Art Museum—especially when Van Gogh came to town. Room after room of this only-in-Denver exhibition gave us a rare look at the stunning work of a master and the artists who inspired him. It's programming like this that's propelling the DAM into the national spotlight. We can't wait to see what next year brings.
Swing by this 23-year-old festival (July 5–7) and you'll get why art is sometimes best enjoyed en plein air; 350,000 annual visitors agree.
