Two Colorado bondsmen, acting as bounty hunters trying to catch a fugitive, have been arrested on felony charges. Their offense: posing as cops to gain entry into a home to look for the fugitive. While inside, they saw drugs and called the cops. In a somewhat ironic result, the real cops decided not to charge the residents of the house with drug offenses, but charged the bounty hunters for with offenses ranging from “second-degree kidnapping, first-degree criminal trespass, and impersonating a police officer ” to “false imprisonment, carrying a concealed weapon and harassment.” Guess these guys haven’t had time to watch the new tv show starring another sometimes Colorado bondsman, the now world-famous Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman. No way Dog would make a mis-step like that. You can catch his show Tuesday nights on A&E. So what happened to the real-life fugitive? He’s in jail, being held without bond.
