Sen. Wayne Allard is all over the news today. First up, he has asked President Bush to appoint former Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell as Gale Norton’s replacement as Secretary of the Interior.

In a letter to President Bush, Allard said “Colorado and the West need and deserve a forceful advocate in the president’s Cabinet.”

Here’s a look at Sen. Campbell’s voting record on environmental issues. Aside from listing his votes, the site says the League of Conservation Voters gave him an 11% rating, hardly friendly to the environment.

In less flattering news, Progress Action is calling upon Sen. Allard to apologize for calling Sen. Feingold a terrorist sympathizer on talk radio because of Feingold’s motion to censure President Bush over his National Security Agency warrantless electronic surveillance program.
