Whole Foods is celebrating Earth Day by banning plastic grocery bags. Permanently.

Whole Foods Markets banished the plastic shopping bag from check-out counters, sacking groceries in reusable or paper bags. Shoppers can bring their own bag or pay 99 cents for a reusable bag made from recycled plastic bottles. In the future there will be no more plastic shopping bags at the store.
