Pulitzer Disappointments (Or Not)

Neither of my favorites for this year’s Pulitzer Prizes were winners. The Denver Post’s excellent “Tarnishing the Truth” series and “Hidden Hazards,” a great investigation on toy safety produced by my former colleagues at the Chicago Tribune, were bested by the New York Times’ “Toxic Pipeline” series on dangerous foreign imports. This year’s Pulitizers were announced just a few minutes ago.

Update: It appears that Editor & Publisher’s breaking story on the Pulitzers was incomplete. The Tribune’s entry was named co-winner along with the New York Times. Major congratulations to my good friend George Papajohn and everyone else at Tribune Tower!
