The Arctic weather that continues today got its start this weekend, and Denver’s high today will hit only about 15 degrees. But things should warm up by Wednesday, according to Fox 31. There’s significant snow in the mountains, and yesterday the weather was perfect in Aspen for the Winter X Games, where snowboarding star Shaun White made history in the superpipe competition, becoming the first rider to defend his title in the event. White, the 2006 Olympic champ, is also the top medal winner in Winter X, with 14 medals overall, according to The Denver Post.

Conditions in Breckenridge, meanwhile, were good for the 19th annual Snow Sculpting Championships, notes CBS4. The sculptures will be on display throughout the week.
