Nuggets Slip Out of First Place


The Denver Nuggets’ confidence is “waning,” writes The Denver Post from Sacramento, California, where the team lost 114-106 to the Kings, dropping out of first place in the Northwest Division.

“It’s just a tough loss,” coach George Karl told reporters. “It’s just a very, very tough loss.”


Indeed, before yesterday’s game, the Nuggets were tied with Houston for third in the highly-competitive Western Conference. At the end of the day, the Nuggets were seventh.
