Now that he has a court ruling on his side–ruling that he was wrongfully fired from his job as a professor at the University of Colorado–Ward Churchill says he wants his position back, according to United Press International, which reports that if Churchill can’t have his job back, he wants $1 million from the school. That would be a big hit on the school’s budget at a time when massive budget cuts to education are coming down the pike, according to The Colorado Independent.
Churchill has had no salary since July 2008 and has spent most of his time since his termination preparing for last month’s trial, although he made some money by giving speeches, according to the Colorado Daily.
