It wasn’t a great weekend for Colorado college football fans. Every major college team lost.

The University of Northern Colorado Bears rallied from a 14-point halftime deficit to pull within one point of Weber State but ended up dropping the game 28-20, writes The Greeley Tribune.

The Colorado State University Rams fared worse, losing 42-28 to the San Diego State Aztecs after letting San Diego State’s quarterback rack up 459 yards through the air and six touchdowns (via the Fort Collins Coloradoan).

The Air Force Academy Falcons came close to a win but lost to Utah 23-16 in overtime. The Colorado Springs Gazette writes the Falcons “found a way to lose” to the number 19-ranked Utah and head coach Troy Calhoun needs to teach his team how to close out games.

Finally, the University of Colorado proved last weekend’s surprise upset over the University of Kansas was likely a fluke. The Buffs got smoked in Manhattan, Kansas, getting in their own way with four turnovers and eight penalties en route to a 20-6 loss to the Kansas State Wildcats (via Boulder’s Daily Camera). The good news? There isn’t much when it comes to college football.

At least we can look forward to the Denver Broncos getting back to work November 1 against the Baltimore Ravens.
