Say what you want about Vice President Joe Biden, but don’t accuse him of being unable to multitask. Today, he will attend a fundraiser for freshman Congresswoman Betsy Markey—a Democrat expected to encounter fierce Republican opposition in the Fourth Congressional District in November—after touting how stimulus dollars help Colorado and the nation. As The Hill notes, Markey “came under heavy fire earlier this year when she switched from voting ‘no’ to ‘yes’ on health-care reform.”

Before the money-raising event, Biden will visit UQM Technologies, a Longmont company that manufactures generators and electric motors. The company received $45 million in federal stimulus funding and is building a new factory, according to The Associated Press.

Meanwhile, Biden’s wife, Jill, will meet with students, faculty, and staff at Red Rocks Community and Arapahoe Community colleges Friday, reports 9News.
