Before Tuesday night’s game in Vancouver, Colorado Avalanche goalie Craig Anderson tweaked his right knee and limped off the ice. The injury was serious enough that Anderson didn’t make the team’s trip to Calgary for tonight’s game, and now we know why: The Denver Post reports that although Anderson will avoid knee surgery, doctors say he’ll be out “indefinitely.” Minor-leaguer John Grahame will come up to back up Peter Budaj until Anderson returns. Grahame, a Denver native, is the son of University of Denver associate athletic director Ron Grahame and Charlotte Grahame, the Avalanche’s vice president of hockey administration. John Grahame has played 224 games in the NHL spread between Boston, Carolina, and Tampa Bay.
