Most artists choose a niche: Photographer. Landscape painter. Woodworker. Not Lisa Garness Mallory. Calling herself both a painter and a fine art photographer, Garness Mallory pioneered her own artistic process, which combines digital photography with textile and painting work. It can take from two weeks to a month to complete one piece. The result: Stunningly realistic images of nature that blur the lines between reality and drawing.

View Garness Mallory’s work during the local Alzheimer’s Assocation‘s “Memories in the Making” art show and auction on Thursday, June 6, at the National Western Complex, starting at 5:30 p.m.
