The recent news that Jeff Osaka, the lauded chef of Twelve Restaurant and a James Beard Award nominee, is opening a ramen shop in RiNo, was met with excitement—and impatience. Osaka Ramen’s early-summer debut means Denver food lovers simply have to wait and see how the “Tokyo underground-inspired restaurant” shapes up.

But here’s a secret: On Friday, May 2, Berkeley Supply Company will host a Filson Clothing, Basil Hayden, and Osaka Ramen pop-up. The event runs 6 to 10 p.m., but starting at 7 p.m., Osaka will serve 100 bowls worth of his homemade ramen. One hundred percent of the $5 donation will go to Project Angel Heart.

Mark it on your calendar and get there early. These ramen bowls will go quickly.
