  • 38th Avenue Eats

Try these three Wheat Ridge eateries.

If turkey legs and cotton candy aren’t your thing, head to 38th Avenue, between Wadsworth and Sheridan boulevards, for well-rounded eats.

    Right Coast Pizza

By “Right Coast,” owners Mark Eskow and Justin Vogel mean East Coast—specifically, New Jersey, where Eskow was born. Right Coast’s thin slices come with a delicious balance of the restaurant’s original sauce, cheese, and toppings such as house-made sausage and freshly roasted chiles.

Order This: Custom pizza by the slice, starting at $2.59

    Colorado Plus Brew Pub

If you’re more interested in a liquid lunch, this locavore spot is for you. The two-year-old pub hosts a rotating cast of 56 Colorado beers such as Grand Junction’s Kannah Creek Standing Wave pale ale and its own Undead Red, a boozy Belgian red ale.

Order This: The $10 build-your-own beer flight with five four-ounce pours, in addition to a house-made beer brat

    Clancy’s Pub

At the age of 41, Clancy’s claims to be the oldest Irish pub in the metro area. In May, the beloved watering hole moved to a larger location and added a patio, but it kept its dark wood and original signs.

Order This: The traditional shepherd’s pie
