Good ice cream is something we never tire of. As an ode to this era of far-out flavors and classics with modern twists (think salted butterscotch or peppermint malt ball), we’re teaming up with Sweet Action Ice Cream to rework the ever-popular Rocky Road.

Don’t get us wrong, we love the combination of chocolate, almonds, and marshmallows (there’s a reason it’s been a fixture in ice cream cases since 1929). We just want to make it a little more Colorado, a little more local. And so, we’re asking for your help in creating a flavor called Rocky Mountain Road.

What should this new flavor look and taste like? Could Enstrom’s almond toffee take the place of nuts? Might it include a swirl of Helliemae’s caramel? Should it be made with hemp milk, or include Laws whiskey? Think Colorado, think local. Send us your thoughts via the comments section below and on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. In the coming weeks, we’ll test out every conceivable combination.

Then you’ll get to taste the rewards. Rocky Mountain Road will roll out at Sweet Action in July to coincide with 5280’s upcoming roundup of the city’s best ice cream flavors.

We can’t wait to hear (and then taste) what you dream up.
