Update: October 22 was Black Eye Cap Hill’s last day in business. The LoHi location is still up and running.

Sad news for fans of White Lies: On September 16, two-year-old Black Eye Coffee Cap Hill announced via Instagram that it was the final night of service for its evening alter ego. While the hip shop will continue to offer coffee, food, and cocktails during the day, it will now close up at 6 p.m. daily. White Lies will be open to private events going forward.

When 5280’s critic, Scott Mowbray, reviewed Black Eye Cap Hill last year, he called the operation “ambitious” and found the daytime offerings to be “Black Eye’s stronger suit.” We’ve reached out to the owners for comment on the change, and will update this story should we hear more.
