So, you were lucky enough to score tickets to the Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton, eh? Lucky you! Before you head to the Buell Theater for the show (which runs February 27 through April 1), you’ll want to start off what promises to be an epic night with a tasty bite and a drink (or two). Or perhaps you’re looking for a place to keep the party going after curtain call? Here are our top picks for where to go to make the most of the evening.

Union Lodge No. 1

This patriotic cocktail bar (from the team behind the Arvada Tavern, Kline’s Beer Hall, and the new Tatarian) is nestled inside a historic Denver building built in 1889. Adorned with a portrait of then-President Grover Cleveland and a sizeable American flag decorated with 38 historically accurate stars, Union Lodge No. 1 will help set the stage for your “Hamilton” experience with its nods to U.S. history. Keep the theme going with the “Red, White and Blue Blazer” cocktail, inspired by the father of American bartending, Jerry Thomas. The drink features 151-proof Demerara rum, bourbon, applejack, cinnamon, and house bitters, and is served hot. Watching your bartender pour fire in and out of the mixing glass is reason enough to order this delicious drink. 1543 Champa St., 720-389-0447

The Nickel

Sitting just two hundred steps from the theater’s front doors, the Nickel (located inside the Hotel Teatro) has plenty to woo “Hamilton” goers. Aside from the can’t-beat-it location, there’s house-made charcuterie, barrel-aged cocktails, and, to celebrate the show’s arrival, two new “luxury” wines on the Nickel’s list, both available by the glass or bottle. Consider toasting your musical experience with a glass of the beautifully balanced 2016 Chardonnay from Pride Mountain Vineyard ($25 a glass) or the exceptional 2015 Orin Swift Cabernet Sauvignon ($29 a glass). 1100 14th St., 720-889-2128

Euclid Hall Bar & Kitchen

If you’re more of a beer drinker, look no further than Euclid Bar & Kitchen on 14th Street. Its ever-rotating beer list highlights the best of Colorado breweries, such as the Russell Kelly Pale Ale from Telluride Brewery and Ratio Brewery’s Dear You French Saison. Not a suds lover? No problem: This two-level bar rolled out three “Hamilton”-themed punches in honor of the show’s arrival. Try the “Hamilton’s Side Piece Maria” made with gin, cucumber, rosemary, and sour beer. If you’re feeling a bit peckish, try one of the juicy, hand-cranked sausages. And since Euclid Hall stays open until 2 a.m. nightly, you can keep the revelry going long after the curtain closes. 1317 14th St., 303-595-4255

Peaks Lounge

Located inside the Hyatt Regency Hotel on the 27th floor, this bar offers spectacular panoramic views of the Front Range and downtown Denver. As you gaze out the floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows, cocktail in hand, you may even find yourself losing track of the hour, so be sure to set your alarm for show time if you’re there for a pre-show cocktail. The booze menu highlights Colorado products, including Stranahan’s whiskey in the superb Rocky Mountain Sour. Take a sip, sit back, and enjoy the views. Regency Hyatt Hotel, 650 15th St., 303-436-1234

The Crimson Room

If you’re not ready for the music to stop after curtain call, make your way to The Crimson Room. This four-year-old subterranean cocktail lounge bills itself as “Denver’s best kept secret.” It hosts live tunes—often jazz—on Tuesday through Saturday evenings. The cocktail menu focuses on old fashioneds, offering intriguing variations on the classic. Try the “Smoked Angel” made with Angel’s Envy Rye. It’s the sort of concoction that will make you feel like you’ve fallen into a Great Gatsby-esque soirée. 1403 Larimer St., 720-639-6987
