Inside the Jacquard, Cherry Creek’s Newest Luxury Hotel

The newly opened Jacquard Hotel & Rooftop in Cherry Creek North offers travelers yet another stylish spot to check in—where every detail has been designed to provide the perfect, personalized stay.

Just a few years ago, travelers had but one luxury lodging option in Cherry Creek North. Now, as a result of the development explosion that continues to transform the tony shopping district, there are four—the JW Marriott, Halcyon, Moxy, and, as of early October, the Jacquard Hotel & Rooftop—each offering its own distinct brand of luxury.

At the Jacquard, the newest addition to Marriott International’s portfolio of Autograph Collection Hotels, the brand story is all about tailoring each stay to guests’ wishes, whether that’s a Peloton bike in the bedroom, a toddler-size bathrobe, a personal stylist to help navigate neighborhood boutiques, or a copy of Jane Eyre for bedtime reading.

The hotel’s standard offerings offer plenty of pampering for lower-maintenance travelers too: 201 guest rooms and suites are stocked with Frette robes, Vero Water hydration stations, Nespresso machines, and piles of luxe linens and pillows. There’s a mobile steamer service to help with wrinkled clothes, discounted day passes and member rates at Pura Vida Fitness & Spa, and a Tesla Model X house car ready to take guests anywhere (within a two-mile radius) 24/7.

Befitting such luxury is the building itself, a sleek structure designed by national architecture firm CannonDesign with the aim of connecting guests with the neighborhood. Towering walls of glass that enclose the street-level lobby draw the eye up to a wraparound balcony—adjacent to 6,900 square feet of indoor meeting and event space—and, above that, a striking grid of guest rooms’ 8-by-8-foot exterior windows.

As the hotel’s name suggests, the building is topped by a rooftop patio—with 180-degree views of the city and mountains, a 75-foot-long pool (which, topped with a translucent cover, can transform into the ultimate dance floor), and rooftop bar Kisbee on the Roof.

Inside, refined interiors by Design Force Corporation (you’ve seen their work at the ART hotel) provide the backdrop for colorful artwork curated by Denver-based NINE dot ARTS, including Boulder sculptor Roger Reutimann’s “Aphron,” an eye-catching take on the female form displayed in the lobby, and Denver artist Scott Young’s 16-foot-tall neon-lit sculpture “I Have Seen Things You Would Never Believe,” which hangs from the ceiling on the second floor.

One of the hotel’s most striking design elements was achieved with wallpaper (of all things) that masquerades convincingly as a towering bookshelf at Narrative, the Jacquard Hotel’s onsite restaurant, which dishes up modern-American fare (think: Caesar salad deviled eggs, 48-hour braised beef short ribs) under the direction of longtime local chef Paul Nagan. Here, the hotel’s “modern luxury” style shines brightest—and the inspiration for its name feels most meaningful: “Jacquard” pays homage to French inventor Joseph Marie Jacquard, who automated the patterned looming process, making of-the-moment style available to the masses—just as Narrative offers guests and locals alike a taste of the Jacquard’s unique take on luxury.
