Food Lover’s Book Club is a bimonthly discussion of a cookbook or food-related book led by award-winning food writer Amanda M. Faison. The free gathering takes place at the Ross-Cherry Creek Library.

In this Instapot era, it’s worth exploring another one-pot wonder: the donabe. This centuries-old Japanese method of cooking in a clay pot is simple, healthy, and wonderfully comforting. Chef Jeff Osaka of 12@Madison, Osaka Ramen, and Sushi Rama will join food writer Amanda M. Faison to discuss the cooking technique, the cookbook Donabe by Tokyo native Naoko Takei Moore, and provide a demo. Pick up a copy of Donabe and come enjoy tasty nibbles.

Free, 6 p.m., Ross-Cherry Creek Library, 305 Milwaukee St., 720-865-0120
