City Park Jazz | June 2 to August 4 
Every summer for more than 30 years, City Park Jazz has produced a summer concert series that sends dance-worthy tunes across Ferril Lake. This summer’s series starts Sunday, June 2, with Emma Mayes & The Hip, a Denver band that melds soul, funk, and jazz styles with original lyrics. Venture Out Fest | June 15
Try your hand (or feet) at slacklining, learn how to properly cast a fly-fishing line, or just sit back and watch dogs in a professional dock-jumping competition. All of these things—and more—are part of Winter Park Resort’s first-ever Venture Out Fest, a day of free activities for anyone who likes to get outside. 16th Street Fair | June 21–22
Three times between now and the end of September, artists and makers will take over the 16th Street Mall, transforming downtown into a street fair with a wealth of art and handmade goods. Cherry Blossom Festival | June 22–23
If teriyaki chicken and Japanese artwork aren’t enough to bring you to Sakura Square for the 47th annual Cherry Blossom Festival, come for the drums. Taiko drumming performances will be happening more than five times throughout the weekend as Japanese musicians, martial artists, craftspeople, and food vendors share their work in a celebration of Japanese heritage. Homesteaders’ Day at Golden History Museum & Park | June 29
Travel back in time and explore what life was like for Colorado homesteaders in the 19th century. Buildings from the former Pearce Ranch in Golden Gate Canyon, where Thomas and Henrietta Pearce raised eight children, dot the landscape of the Golden History Museum and Park.
