Even if you don’t have a Flatiron view as your backdrop, you too can create an inviting outdoor dining area like the one above at the Eldorado Springs home of Lindsay Mangat (pictured). To get the look, stylist Natalie Warady suggests decorating from the ground up: “Sometimes the best way to define an outdoor room is to use neutral rugs,” she says—like this sisal version from World Market that’s topped by a geometric-print rug from One Kings Lane. Then choose a single color to contrast with the neutrals—as the coral accents do here. Warady sprinkled the hue across the homeowner’s Restoration Hardware dining table in different textures and patterns: flowers, serving bowls, napkins, and even a throw for guests to use when the temperature drops after sunset.
