Instead of making resolutions, how about accepting a 2020 challenge instead: Try one of Denver’s fantastic, locally owned, independent restaurants each week of the year. EatDenver’s Dining Deck is here to help you achieve that delicious culinary goal, which is really the best kind of goal anyway.

The cards in the deck deliver unique eating and drinking deals at 55 restaurants across 25 neighborhoods. Valid from January 1 through December 31, 2020 and costing just $55, the set holds $500 worth of highly edible (and drinkable) bargains, and, new this year, each card also sports a fun little trivia nugget. (Because come on, you definitely wanted to know that Buffalo Bill’s corpse was held in Lola’s basement for three months.)

From burgers (Park Burger) and bacon (Bacon Social House), to seafood (Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar) and Southern fare (Julep), the deck contains plenty of delicious dining options. For a buck a card, you’ll score deals like a complimentary amari flight at Panzano; tiramisu from Carmine’s on Penn; or $10 off your bill for every $30 spent at Wendell’s. There’s also free queso, oysters, bottomless mimosas, charcuterie cones, and other vittles to keep you very well fed in the new year.

This is the first year EatDenver has tailored the deck’s offerings to the participating restaurants, which means that chefs and owners picked specific deals that showcase what their restaurants do best. So yes, you’re going to save money, but you’re also going to sample something that each restaurant has perfected.

And, because it’s gonna be a long election year and we need all the fun we can get, the deck includes a bonus food- and drink-centric scavenger hunt through RiNo. Challenge accepted.
