The Best Denver Hotels for Your 2021 All-Star Game Stay

Whether you’re a visitor to Denver or a local looking to make a staycation out of All-Star Week, these landing spots won’t disappoint.

Denverites may have lucked out when the All-Star Game was relocated to our hometown—but it’s MLB fans making their ways to the Mile High City who are truly in for a treat. From Denver’s delicious eateries, beloved breweries, and flourishing cultural scene, planting yourself downtown (with our guide to All-Star Week in hand!) is a foolproof way to make the most of the Midsummer Classic experience no matter where you’re coming from. Here, a few of our favorite hotels with world-class offerings (and rooms still available) that cater to every taste. Play ball!

The Curtis Hotel

This whimsical hotel located across the street from the Denver Performing Arts Complex houses—you guessed it—art around every corner, from its pop-culture themed rooms to its lobby filled with interactive installations. Book The Curtis’ All Star-SuperFan package to secure a slew of game-day essentials, like classic ballpark snacks, sunscreen, a disposable camera, and a sixer of Coors Light or PBR to kick your All-Star Week memories off right. Stop by the Lemonade Stand in the lobby beginning July 9 for more festivities like trivia, pitching contests, and plenty of spiked lemonade. Rooms starting at $339

The Oxford Hotel

As the oldest operating hotel in Denver, this historic spot has stood for 130 years in LoDo—and it’s easy to see why. Guests can reliably expect a stately ambience along with elevated fare from Urban Farmer Denver and sips of the hotel’s signature, small-batch whiskey, which is made in partnership with Law’s Whiskey House. Fans can also get into game-day spirit with the Oxford’s Pregame package, available all baseball season and throughout All-Star Week; you’ll be greeted at your accommodations with cold beers, sunflower seeds, and Cracker Jack snacks, which will ensure you’re properly fueled for your short trek to the stadium. Rooms starting at $569

The Source Hotel

Leaning into its just-edgy-enough location, this modern RiNo hotel and its adjoining market hall offer a taste of everything that makes the mile-high scene so vibrant. Soak up sweeping views of Denver and the Rocky Mountains at the rooftop bar and pool, and enjoy local and international artworks of every kind within the former brick foundry building—or along your roughly one-mile jaunt to Coors Field, where you can view the street murals for which the art district is renowned. Opt for the Stay Like an All-Star package and get a $50 credit to the The Woods rooftop restaurant and bar, along with free self-parking and a shuttle ride to the ballpark. And for your pre- or post-game activities, grab the Source Passport (an additional $20) to snag discounts and deals at just about any of the market’s retail shops or restaurants, including critically acclaimed Safta, Smōk, Bellota, New Belgium Brewing, and more. Rooms starting at $469

The Crawford Hotel

It doesn’t get much more central than a luxury stay inside Denver Union Station, which puts you within walking distance of the ballpark. The Crawford is also the perfect hub for all your wining, dining, and transportation needs (try the James Beard Award–winning bites at Mercantile Dining & Provision, fresh seafood from Stoic & Genuine, or one of more than 30 Colorado craft beers on tap at the Terminal Bar.) A three-day-long block party outside the hotel will make for a certifiably fun-filled All-Star stay, as Union Station and the nearby Dairy Block join forces to host LoDo Rocks the Block, a free concert series and mini-festival with a lineup of local performers, markets, lawn games, and family-friendly activities. Rooms starting at $633

JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek

Making the pilgrimage for the Midsummer Classic but don’t want to deal with all of the hustle and bustle downtown? This recently renovated, upscale spot in Cherry Creek is a high-end haven that’s removed from the crowds and offers a free shuttle to and from the Home Run Derby and All-Star Game if you book the Bases Covered package. As a cherry on top, enjoy baseball-themed goodies upon arrival and a $25 credit per night to the hotel’s pan-Latin Toro Latin Kitchen and Lounge—plus plenty more dining and shopping options within walking distance, like chic new cocktail destination Forget Me Not. Rooms starting at $449

Hotel Indigo

Located just a few blocks from Coors Field, this trendy hotel is another ultra-close option to all the week’s festivities. The Indigo also offers easy access to tasty eats at neighboring outposts like The Pig & The Sprout (don’t miss the brunch and late-night menus) and Woodie Fisher Kitchen & Bar. Round out the quintessential Colorado visit with any of the Hotel Indigo’s hyper-local offers, like the Colorado Views & Brews package for a pregame bucket of ice-cold beers, the Relax like a Denverite package for a slew of drinks and self-care items infused with CBD—or the Denver Altitude Recovery package (including a can of Oxygen Booster) for any of your, erm, post-game needs. Rooms starting from $435
