A Running List of Restaurants and Bars Closed in the Denver Metro Area

Award-winning Acorn and beloved Lola and Brass Tacks have shuttered since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020. Here’s a living list of closures—both permanent and temporary.

The past 18 months have been brutal for Colorado’s hospitality industry, with hundreds of restaurants and bars across the Centennial State shuttering—either temporarily or for good—due to COVID-19 exposures and restrictions and other operational issues. While the Colorado Restaurant Association (CRA) indicates that the number of eating and drinking establishments increased across the state in 2021, many factors—including a severe labor shortage, debt accumulation, rising overhead costs, and health and safety concerns regarding the highly contagious omicron variant—continue to threaten the livelihood of local establishments. Below is a running list of all the ones known to have ceased operations since March 2020; we will continually update this list.

This list was last updated on December 29, 2021. Are we missing a restaurant or bar? Notice an error? Let us know at
