Furniture design duo Lindsey Price and Donnie Criswell spent more than a year perfecting their Vail lounge chair—a minimalist perch with a slim, powder-coated steel frame, leather back straps, and cloudlike cushion. But it was worth the wait: “Vail emerged as the clear winner [of our collection],” Price says, noting that the couple’s brand, Denver Modern, has released several iterations of the bestselling piece since its debut in 2019. The newest edition, pictured above, is a patio-ready version outfitted with weather-resistant nylon straps and durable, machine-washable upholstery. “The most important feature of our design is comfort, and also there’s this convenience factor,” Price says. “People want beautiful, long-lasting [furniture], but they also want to be able to clean it when messes happen.” A seat fit for the rugged Colorado lifestyle.
