The screenwriter of the 2016 tearjerker Moonlight, Tarell Alvin McCraney, will make you bawl once again with his newest endeavor: a musical drama. This Broadway debut follows Pharus, a high school student struggling to fit in. When Pharus jumps at the opportunity to become the first gay student to lead his school’s boys choir, he stands up against his bullies and long-held traditions. The touching gospel musical features a cast of Denver actors and explores how to overcome prejudice and celebrate who you are.
