This provocative film screening aims to connect audiences with the voices of those living in the margins through two uplifting, thought-provoking stories. After learning the faces of transgender and gender non-conforming adults in the the photography exhibit To Survive on this Shore, settle in for two short movies inspired by the display’s themes. The animated Ian tells the tale of a boy with cerebral palsy who overcomes bullying and finds his voice, while the documentary Western Collections profiles retired transgender Colorado geologist Judy Gassaway and her penchant for compiling artifacts from the American West.
