Carol Shinn Solo Exhibition
Like many artists, this world-renowned creator is inspired by what she sees: unordinary architecture, lush landscapes, exquisite flora. To achieve her awe-inspiring tableaus, Shinn captures a picture of something that draws her eye, like the crumbling side of a building, then renders it not with paper and paint, but fabric. Unlike other hyper-realistic works, all 12 pieces in this exhibit were created without the aid of computerization, which you’ll appreciate once you eye the intricacy of the tree roots and fine wild grasses that grace the collection.
