Taking on an ultramarathon is an impressive feat for any runner, even more so for one with disabilities. In this inclusive 50K—with milder 25K and 10K options—visually and mobility impaired racers will run alongside fully-abled ones, traversing scenery that varies from open prairie to dense great pine forests to heavenly views of the eastern plains. The race will help differently-abled runners get out on the trails in more ways than one: a portion of proceeds will benefit Achilles Pike Peak, a nonprofit that helps athletes with disabilities.
