Clark Richert in Hyperspace

Museum of Contemporary Art Denver
1485 Delgany St.
Denver, CO 80202

This conceptual mastermind first made his mark in Colorado when he co-founded Drop City, an artist colony, in Trinidad. The art installation that he constructed in the town—a trippy geometric dome—is just one of his trademark experimentations with bold colors, dimensions, patterns, and shapes. At this retrospective, you’ll see decades of Richerts’ work, including his DayGlo-painted psychedelic posters, a comic strip he made with artists at Drop City, and the optical showpiece Phi Tesserae, which will draw your eye with its cool blues and deceptive shapes.
