Even avid explorers have never seen the soaring mountains and sweeping valleys of the West like this. During this imaginative exhibit, artists, including Boulder painter Virginia Maitland, will present abstract pieces inspired by Western hotspots such as Grand Junction and Escalante, Utah. Don’t expect to recognize the familiar landmarks, though. Swirls of neon and geometric patterns distort the beloved destinations into colorful kaleidoscopes.
