At this dark, contemporary exhibition, glimpse 32 unsettling pieces focused on themes such as mortality, the afterlife, and our perceptions of reality. Artists featured in the exhibit, such as Katie Hoffman and James Leger, work in a wide variety of media—from oil paintings to ink drawings to wood carvings—but all seem to find a surprising sense of beauty in their macabre subject matter. Don’t miss Hoffman’s oil-on-canvas painting “Because it is Bitter,” which features a bird biting into a disembodied human heart, or Leger’s “Materiel Dangereux,” which depicts a humanoid creature with a reptilian skull head sitting in a dark alley. Tue-Sat 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
